Healthy Games and Gym Activities for Kids - The Top Ten
As a parent, you want to do everything possible to build the health and fitness of their children. This includes maintaining a positive attitude toward physical activity and sport.
For my children, I have developed my own criteria for choosing fitness activities. What was important to me was:
Security and low risk of injury, this should top the list of priorities of any parent
Skill Domain A sport or sport that requires learning models more complex muscle coordination or group interaction
Develop balanced body fitness hard muscles This includes both upper and lower body, the formation of both sides, right and left, and building cardiovascular fitness and strength in a way that is appropriate for the age
The right combination of competitiveness, personal challenge, and fun
The possibility of participation in the life
Mix of individual activities and team sports programs and activities organized less structured
They want to do
Based on these criteria, here are my ten sports, health and sports games for children:
Dance - Dance classes are a great workout for life. You will learn the awareness of his own body and develop a balanced fitness. There is a creative aspect to dance, too. And you can continue to dance throughout life. My two sons took dance lessons when they were young. It is unfortunate that, with age, the number of other children in the class also diluted and finally left.
Kicking and punching (martial arts) - martial arts like taekwondo and karate emphasize balanced body (and mental) development, self-confidence, have a well-orchestrated system of colored belts and rewards can be great fun. It is also an activity that children and adults can participate in.
Swimming - All children should know how to swim. It works on several levels: a relaxing activity, an important part of a basal diet physical life, or an intense competitive sport. There are two negatives about swimming. Some people have problems with all the chlorine. And sometimes people who bathe many may have problems in the tendons of the shoulder due to repetitive overhead reaching. Good coaching is a must for competitive swimmers.
Football - This is one of my favorite team. Run all the time. It is the work of the team in question. You will learn to shoot with both legs. You also have to develop your peripheral vision and good sense of the general field of strategic improvisation. The hardware requirements are not onerous. There are many adult leagues.
More kids must fight fight - especially girls. You must be really fit to fight, but at the same time is a strategic mental Thu injuries are not as frequent. My eldest son fought for his high school team, and although he had no intention of fighting in college, I'm convinced that helped get into the college of their choice.
He has participated in many activities in high school too - band, choir and theater.
Of these groups, the fighters had the highest point cumulative grade point average, and are the most ethnically diverse. Who knew?
Another great thing about the fight is that the weight classes of the system means that children of all sizes can compete on equal terms. A possible negative control - depending on the level of intensity of the program, and where your child is on the spectrum of weight, sometimes there is pressure to "reduce the burden" - extreme dieting, sweating and. exercise regimes to lose weight in pounds enough to qualify for some kind of weight has never been a problem with my son - if it becomes an issue I would have withdrawn from the program without hesitation.
Figure skating - can be a fun activity to life. He trains for balance, which is an important and often overlooked motion competition. (Eighty years from now your children will be less likely to fall and break bones.) One of the drawbacks is that advanced jumps and spins as skills develop normally - unlike dance - go one direction.
Ice Hockey - Hockey My thanks as a good sport for children has increased. Developed motor skills in hockey are awesome. And I know guys in their fifties and sixties who are still playing - then there is an opportunity for a lifelong commitment. Women's Hockey gaining popularity as well.
One disadvantage - unless you live in a cold climate where ponds freeze in winter, there may be a lot of material costs and other expenses.
Last - Ultimate is a bunch of hippies past few days throwing a Frisbee. This is actually a serious sport that leads to the air conditioning, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Yoga - Participate and integrates the mind, body and spirit - the whole package. Develop self-control, calm amid the chaos, and appreciation throughout the body, both its limitations and its incredible capabilities.
Hiking, canoeing, kayaking. Experiencing nature. Physical challenges. Anyone can do it at any age. You can enjoy with family or groups.
