How many STDs are there ?

 In the 1960s, gonorrhea and syphilis, seemed to be the only STD known, and two of them could be treated with penicillin. Today, there are over twenty different sexually transmitted diseases, and some of the most common are without remedies. [1] Among the sexually transmitted diseases that can be cured, others are more resistant to modern antibiotics.

Most people who have a sexually transmitted disease are unaware of their infection and contagious state. [2] It should, in particular,
